Current position: Researcher at Fundeni Clinical Institute within the Hematology Research Laboratory and in the Center for Excellence in Translational Medicine.
I have a PhD in Biology at the Institute of Biochemistry of the Romanian Academy and a Master in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Bucharest. The research topic of my PhD research was focused on studying the implication of the endoplasmic reticulum associated degradation pathway (ERAD) in the human hepatitis B virus (HBV) life cycle.
During the PhD program I worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Biochemistry being involved in several research projects where the main research activities included molecular biology, cell culture manipulation and fluorescence microscopy techniques. During my training, I also involved in assisting and training young future scientists in the field while in their bachelor and masters programs.
