Research Area: regenerative medicine, personalized therapies, translational medicine, adipose tissue biology, oxidative stress.
I am a Biochemist and I have a PhD Degree in Medicine from Romanian Academy (2011) with a year spent at the University of Antwerp, Belgium (2007-2008). I have an expertise in medical biochemistry, adipose tissue biology, oxidative stress and physiologic alterations in metabolic conditions, cell culture (standardized cell lines and primary culture), UV-VIS spectrophotometric determinations, SDS-PAGE, Western Blott, chemiluminescence, ELISA, PCR, real-time PCR, microarray and specific miRNA analysis. Currently, I am involved as Project leader for the miR-DIAB project entitled “Development of a new technology to estimate the maturation of liver cells transdifferentiated in insulin-producing cells” (contract no. 629PED/2022)
My research activity is materialized in a number of 54 original articles, 34 being ISI indexed, and 16 as main author. The 54 published papers lead to 380 citations (with auto-citations), Hirsch index – 11, 14 (Web Of Science, Scholar)
